Tour of the Penly Nuclear Power Plant: An Immersive Look at Safety Issues

On September 24, 2025, employees from Chauvin Arnoux Energy and Chauvin Arnoux Reux visited the Penly Nuclear Power Plant (Seine-Maritime) at the invitation of EDF. This awareness-raising event is part of an initiative aimed at strengthening the nuclear safety culture and gaining a better understanding of the environment in which our equipment is deployed.

The program included an overview of the plant’s operations, a tour of the machine room, a presentation of the safety systems—including the Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG)—and a demonstration of the control room simulator used to train operators in managing both normal and emergency situations.

This immersive experience allowed the teams to gain a concrete understanding of the quality, rigor, and safety requirements specific to the nuclear sector. It also fostered exchanges between teams from Chauvin Arnoux Energy, Chauvin Arnoux, and EDF, strengthening a shared culture that is essential to the success of the industry’s current and future projects.
