CHAUVIN ARNOUX takes over HEITO's electrochemical business

The French company HEITO, founded in 1948, is one of the last French industrial companies in the field of electrochemical measuring instruments, such as pH-meters, redox, conductivity meters, oxygen analysers, probes and electrodes. These instruments are aimed mainly at the Education market, laboratories, R&D centres, industries and environmental testing organizations.

HEITO and CHAUVIN ARNOUX have signed an agreement transferring HEITO's electrochemical business to CHAUVIN ARNOUX. Instead of simply selling off HEITO's electrochemical measurement branch, this agreement sets up a partnership for the transfer of know-how and expertise between the two companies.

HEITO will continue its other industrial activities, and particularly the manufacture of bimetal thermostats with fixed settings, sold under the VIGITHERME brand, for professional electronics and electrical engineering applications in a variety of fields: aviation, defence, transport equipment, fire safety, frost protection, etc.

At the same time, CHAUVIN ARNOUX, now a major worldwide force in the measurement sector and one of the leaders in portable electrical measurement instrumentation, intends to take advantage of this new technological expertise to enhance its offering.

In the electrochemical sector, MANUMESURE, a subsidiary of CHAUVIN ARNOUX, is the only French company which offers COFRAC-certified buffer solutions for pH measurement as reference materials

The industrial group Chauvin Arnoux, founded in 1893, manufactures its products on its own sites, and particularly in its factories in Normandy which will handle production of this new product range.
